My dearest family!!!

I'm sorry that I didn't email you my first day here! Right when I got here we had to go to the computer for training, and of course my teacher was talking in straight Spanish. He may have told me to email mi familia but I just couldn't understand...so I'm sorry.

When you all told me that the MTC was hard, you weren't kidding. HOLY COW this is so hard. I miss you all so much. I miss the comfort of home. I miss English. I did not sleep well my first night at all! I'm so grateful for my blanket and pillowcase! Little pieces of home are the best.

My comp is Hermana Haroldsen. She's the BEST. She's from Herriman. She reminds me of Morgan. She's tall and quiet, I love her. SHE LOVES TO RUN! I'm so grateful that she is willing to run with me!!! What else...she learns differently than me, but we get along great. It's totally weird having a comp 24/7, so it's been a hard adjustment. You really learn how to adjust to others. She doesn't know any Spanish, so I've been trying to teach her everything I know. She actually took Chinese for a long time, so it's been an adjustment. I also forgot to warn her about the orange juice.

My district is the BEST. We have 8 Elders and 4 Hermanas. I live with all 4 Hermanas. Everyone is awesome. We are all still clueless and get distracted pretty easily, but I love them all. I never knew how close we could all get in a few days!

My pday is Tuesday! I'm so excited for Tuesday.

I heard that Trump picked a VP? and there was another shooting somewhere?? TELL ME NEWS. I AM DYING TO HEAR OUTSIDE NEWS!

We have a lot of study/free time. The teacher comes for 3 hours a day, and then we study for the rest 6 hours. It's long and hard. As a district we have breaks and goof around for a few minutes, anything to relieve the stress! I'm the only Sister in my district going to Costa Rica. There are 4 other Elders going to CR. I think I have to travel without a comp to CR.

I'll write you so much more on Tuesday! dearelder.com me! I loveeeee mail. And outside news. I love you all and think about you everyday, which is only been 2 days. Anyways, know that I am happy and alive. This is the hardest thing I've done in my life. Everyone keeps saying it will go by fast, but I don't believe them yet. It's only been 48 hours and it's felt like 48 days.

My shower this morning was FREEZING COLD water. It was terrible, maybe I'm just preparing for Costa Rica.

My watch face got scratched my first day, but I guess that's what I get for a $10 watch...sorry this is so scattered! I feel like I want to tell you all everything, but I have no time!! An Hermana is waiting for this computer.

LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I love putting my name tag on each day. I love wearing the name of Christ daily. I'm so stressed and I have a million things to think about, but I'm good. I'm maybe even happy.

All my love,
Hermana Hansen
