Hey guys!!
This week....haha well to explain the subject, we've had so many crazy things happen to us this week at I imagine it's how an elder would feel. (sorry elders)
We didn't have a car for a few days, so we rode bikes. Long story short, we got out of a lesson and had to go to a meeting at the church, and we didn't have anywhere to hook our bikes on to, so we left them in a shed in a backyard. We went back to get them around 9, and luckily they were still there and we tied them to the bike rack of another hermana's car with a hair dye stained t-shirt.
Another reason I've felt like an elder: last Monday night we passed by our invs and had a really powerful lesson about the Plan of Salvation. As we finished, we were hurrying out because it was around 9:20, and I realized when we got to our car, that I left the keys on the floor of their house when I got up to saludar the investigator. So we go back, and they turn their whole living room upside down to find the keys for about 10 minutes. Then I check my bag one more time.....they are in my bag. Yep. So that was a good time. Needless to say, they didn't come to church this week lol.
Also we got a new companion!! Hermana Hudrlik is from Cali and has about 6 months in the mission. Lots of people had told me "oh wow, you are now a mom of 2 greenies!" Haha it's an adventure. God is defs keeping me on my toes here in Houston:)
I've had an idea this past few weeks to post something on Facebook to help others, now that we have the wonderful tool. Hermana Jacobs and I decided to take a video of us sharing our testimonies and post it. Because of shares from other missionary friends, the video is now in Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and of course Houston. It has been so good to flood social media with GOOD.
In my Book of Mormon reading I am in 3 Nephi. Something that has stuck out to me is that after Christ taught the Nephites in the Americas, He told them to go home, ponder on the things which he had taught, and pray for understanding. I have realized the importance of that in my life. There is a difference between reading studying and pondering. Pondering, for me, is the thinking and praying I do after studying. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Christ lives. He loves us and is waiting for us to return to Him with wide open arms.
Also, who's pumped for general conference thus weekend?? I'm so excited to receive answers to my questions.
LOVE YOU guys!!
